Playing around with Ashlee during the wedding we photographed Friday night.

They had made Venetian masks for all the guests to wear. We couldn't resist.

Lots to edit, lots to clean, and lots to bake! Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Potato and Sweet Potato Omelet with Mushroom, Tomato, Basil and Parmesan

omelet

I had leftover oven baked potato and sweet potato (cut in chunks). I was pretty hungry since I didn't eat breakfast, and what better than throwing a bunch of stuff together and covering it with egg? Especially when it's a crisp November morning.

Potato and sweet potato, already cooked
Fresh mushrooms
Fresh onion
Piece of garlic
Fresh tomato
Fresh basil
S/P
2 eggs
Parmesan cheese

I sauteed the onion, garlic, mushroom, tomato, then added the potatoes to heat through. Whipped up 2 eggs with a liberal dash of milk and rosemary and poured over the mix. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over and cook through (I hate runny egg). Add salt and pepper to taste. Consume immediately.

This morning was a spectacular work of art if you happened to notice (those of you who live here). I walked outside to drag the recycling bin back to the back yard, and as I walked up the deck stairs to go into the kitchen, I saw spider webs in all the crepe myrtles, heavily coated with dew. One enterprising creature had actually spanned the whole width of the yard (about 5 or 6 feet) to connect two trees with a single line. It looked like a string of diamonds. The picture above is my best attempt to catch it. Hannah was yelling from the front of the house, "I'm getting in the car!" because we were running a bit late.

I dropped her off and proceeded to go to the WIM office to pray with the staff. Folks there had seen a "fogbow" (it's a rainbow in the middle of fog, but not as colorful) and one man had seen every particle of water in the air lit up like a sequin as the sun's light broke through the clouds. He waved his hand through it, and the sequins of light danced about in the air. Can you imagine?! I'd love to have seen that!
